disney highschool: Ariel by Nina-D-Lux disney highschool: Ariel by Nina-D-Lux
Disney highschool:
Snow white:[link]

Ariel is a freshman at highschool and to be honest...she hates it! Well, that's not completely true, she loves seeing her friends and phys ed is an alright subject...but being cooped up in a little boring classroom is no fun at all!

The first week Ariel arrived at her new high school she couldn't help but fall head over heels for this guy Eric. He was so cool, kind of a skater guy, a bit rebellious but oh so charming. But Ariel herself...well its not like she could just approach him as she was. She's from a rich family and the preppy clothes she had on just seemed too uncool to wear around him, Eric and all his friends dressed in torn up clothes and had piercings. Then, her friend jasmine had the great idea of visiting that creepy goth chick, Ursula, who hung around the bottom floor girls toilets practically every period. If anyone could change up her look and turn her from prep to punk, it would be Ursula.

Ariel loves her knew look, it feels much more her, and the only downside is she owes Ursula a favor...whatever that could be.

side note, her little earring is a mermaid tail haha

if your interested Im writing a story about all the characters at disney high over on my fanfiction account : )[link]

This is a really cool concept, and I kind of like how you've given everyone stories which kind of parallel how their stories go in their movies. Enjoyable designs as well.

Ariel's probably got one of the most interesting designs to work with considering she's basically only got one article of clothing so most of her look's pretty much derived from her body. I kind of like how her backpack matches her tail with even the hanging straps looking a bit like fins. The rips in her jeans kind of remind me of billows of ocean current too, that's cool.

The fishy accessories are probably my favourite here. The fish skeleton is a pretty nifty touch, and in a way it's a bit disturbing when you consider her original story. The main thing the merfolk had against the humans was for hunting fish, so the fact that Ariel would incorporate a dead fish into her look to blend in with Eric kind of gives the sense that to gain his acceptance she feels the need to display a support for all the killing that cause the humans to be frowned upon.

That said, you did change her backstory from the movie quite a bit, and the parallel is kind of interesting. I've imagined a version of this story with a rich girl intrigued by lower-class life, so it's cool to see someone else had this idea. I think I especially like how you made Jasmine decide to help her down to Eric's level, as Jasmine's story had her try to fit in with the lower class as well. Though this sure makes Eric different, being a prince in his movie. I guess he'll have to be happy being the prince of the hood in this story.

It's also a wonder Ariel finds the classes boring being a bunch of classes about the world of humans. You'd think she'd be all ready to know what the people know. Y'know, asking her questions and getting some answers. Heh heh,

Also, your description of Ursula sounds really cool. A sea witch who lurks about the bathrooms, how fascinating! Don't know if you have or plan to draw her, but that sounds kind of awesome. Maybe that's the octopus fan in me talking, heh heh.

I like this idea, can't wait to see this gallery!

Thank You! Thank you! Thank you! So do you simply prefer drawing with copics or do you like using others too? Water paint? Guash?
Did someone who already knew how to use them, teach you or did you teach yourself? Because I mean, the drawings all look Soooo professional :D

yeah, i mostly only use copics for colouring. lately ive used some touches of coloured pencil on drawings, mainly on the face as lip and eye details. i cant use paint to save my life. I mostly taught myself, watched a few copic marker tutorials on line, read up about basic shading and stuff. thankyou : )
