Winx next gen: Blaine

Ugh, finally, i've done a pic of him I'm happy with! Drawing boys can be such a challenge for me but i think I'm slowly getting better : )

Okay, time for a little bit of a bio.

Blaine is the oldest of Musa and Riven's children, and the oldest of any of the winx's kids, at 21. Riven had high hopes for his oldest son, wanting him to go to red fountain and win every competition or trophy he could and generally be as skilled as he was back in his day, or better! But Blaine never even gave competition a second thought, and from about the age of five has just done his own thing his way. He's not outright rebellious, he doesn't mean to do things to piss people off, but if he feels like getting his eyebrow pierced he's gonna do it (No matter how much Musa objected!...This is the reason she hasn't yet learnt about his recent tattoo either..). Even if he does get in trouble, or yelled at, he just shrugs it off. Their anger is their problem, not his.

He's a pretty quiet guy, not anti-social, he just doesn't see the need to talk endlessly about any old thing. He'll speak when he has something to say. He's also a great listener, so even if he seems to keep to himself, as soon as you actually approach him he's more than willing to listen to your entire life story if you want to tell it.
Part of that comes from being the eldest of five. While his younger siblings are all hot blooded, loud and generally all over the place, he is the calm, chilled out rock in the middle of the chaos. He'll listen to their problems, take the blame for a broken vase around the house and occasionally pay for a trip out. He is the cool older brother through and through, and whole Noah, Flyn, Jaydn and Ruby cant stand each other most of the time, they can all agree that Blaine deserves a bit more respect.

Being 21 he left RedFountain quite awhile ago, having been taught buy Helia just like the others are now, and has a casual job as a DJ. Which Riven can't stand. He's always pushing for Blaine to get a 'real' job (Musa stands by Riven when they try to give this lecture, but secretly deep down she thinks her son being a DJ is quite cool...just don't tell Riven she thinks that!). He's out most nights at clubs and parties, usually sleeping all through the day as well. He's a real night owl. But for now being a DJ is his ideal job, he loves music! All kinds, rock, dance, RnB...if he likes it he likes it, he doesn't care if your only supposed to like one 'genre'. I mean, who says you cant be a hard core rock fan and occasionally like a pop hit? No shame in it. Its actually pretty rare to see Blaine walking around without his headphones and music player turned up to full volume as well.


(btw, extra note, Blaines character was very loosely inspired by Trent Lane, from Daria. When i was imaging creating an oldest son who was into music, Trent just popped into my head and i couldn't get his influence out haha . Though i think Blaine would smile a bit more : p)
